Policies and Guidelines

Forum Policies are rules that must be followed. Forum Guidelines are suggestions that will improve your benefit from the forum, as well as the benefit of others.

This forum is monitored. Messages that are off topic, intentionally offensive, or otherwise contrary to forum policy will be removed. Please use common sense and courtesy.

Before soliciting models, work, prints, clients, etc,

THETA Forum Policies

Promotion, advertising, or solicitation for XXX adult or sexually explicit work IS NOT permitted.
Topics for this forum are those of general interest to the modeling industry. This forum is for use by models, photographers, agents, stylists, and others associated with the modeling industry. Participants at all levels of skill and experience are welcome. Venues for discussion include fashion, commercial, glamour, editorial, and fine art.
The regional and specialty forums have a specific purpose and target which should be followed. General discussion or promotion should be confined to the main forum.
Minors who participate at any WebModels forum must have the permission and support of a parent or legal guardian. NEVER GIVE OUT PERSONAL INFORMATION such as your address or phone number.
Anyone posting on any WebModels forum does so with the knowledge that we reserve the right to review the business practices of anyone using our facilities. Posting a message grants us this right. If you have things to hide, don't post here.
Personal attacks are not allowed. Disagree all you want, but address the issues and leave personalities out of the discussion.
Posting the contents of private e-mail is not permitted. If you have information included in a private e-mail that you feel is vital and should be made public, please contact the forum administrator for prior approval.
Images posted that contain nudity MUST be in good taste. Sexually explicit photos or links to sexually explicit sites are not allowed. Photos that display either male or female genitalia are not allowed. Images that contain nudity may be deleted at the discretion of the forum administrator.

Messages that solicit work, models, clients, services, prints, trade, etc., MUST adhere to the Forum Solicitation Posting Requirements. In short, if you are soliciting / recruiting, you MUST provide samples.
Models or photographers may ONLY include links to a pay site that they own. Furthermore, this site MUST include portfolio images and information used for self promotion of ones modeling or photography. Links to a site with graphic sexual content is not permitted.
Blatant advertisement or promotion of pay sites will be removed.
Messages of a purely commercial nature are limited to one post per week.
Anyone who posts using someone else's identity will be banned.
Anyone who repeatedly abuses the policy regarding pay site promotion will be banned.
Anyone who repeatedly attacks or verbally abuses others will be banned.

THETA Forum Guidelines

This forum is meant to be a place to exchange ideas, seek advise, solicit opinions, ask for assistance, and generally strive to maintain high standards in the industry by helping aspiring models avoid the many pitfalls that they may encounter, and by helping them to look at themselves realistically when considering a career in this highly competitive business. We should point to proven success and industry examples and admonish anyone who is venturing into this industry to look to these icons as standards by which they will be judged, accepted, or rejected.
When disagreeing with someone or when finding objection to the work or to information they present, it helps to site any specific data on which your statements are based. Posting samples of your own work is also a good idea.
If you choose to take issue with someone else's message or comments or ideas, please DO NOT attack the individual instead of the issues. If you do, your posted message WILL BE DELETED. Disagree with others all you want, but leave personalities out of the discussion. Please be courteous and conduct yourself in a professional manner.
One of the objectives of this forum is to educate models in an effort to help prevent anyone from being abused, mistreated, or taken advantage of monetarily or otherwise. If you are here soliciting models for any reason, please understand that you may come under the scrutiny of other forum participants. We have industry professionals associated with this forum who are not only knowledgeable in their own right, but who also are in touch with resources that help us look out for each other.

There are people who give advice and direction that may be sound, honest, and proven. Not proven because they state it, but proven through experience and accomplishments. They are also proven by being familiar to us and to the industry professionals who contribute here. We reserve the right to verify the credibility and reliability of those who give advice and direction, as well as those who solicit. However, WebModels CAN NOT and WILL NOT accept liability for ANY statements made by ANY individual, or actions by any individual based on advice or suggestions given here.
Any image posted to this forum may be deleted at the discretion of the forum administrator. If a model or photographer requests that one of their images be removed, it may be deleted at the discretion of the forum administrator.

By posting messages to this or any WebModels forum, you certify that you agree with all policies of the forums, and further certify that you accept these same policies and any actions on the part of WebModels and/or the forum administrator that are deemed necessary in order to enforce the policies.
