Thanks for the comment.
We try to keep our monitor and printer in synch. We use an HP Pavilion f/70 liquid crystal monitor and an Epson 1280 printer with a continuous ink system from CIS.
Sometimes we get a comment that our stuff looks a bit blu on someones monitor and sometimes green. We also find that there can be quite a diference between color space from Mac's to PC's.
Sometimes people send us e-mails and say that their images are fairly heavily artifacted. This is usually due to their using lower resolution settings on their monitors.
Wish we knew what to do to standardize images a bit more.
The problem you mention also comes up when getting prints from digital.
We regularly make 16X20 prints from digital images for some of our clients. And, we finally found a lab that is cost effective and very consistent in their image quality. So, we have recently standardized our calibration to their specs.
That could accont for the difference that you noticed.
