Color temp -vs- strobe output level
(Gabe Choy)
And I'm not sure it would be an issue for most people who use flash here in this forum. For myself, I wouldn't be too concerned because I like a low color temp... I deliberately shoot for warm tones 90% of the time, and since I normally keep a soft-gold isert in my softboxes and shoot in small spaces (which means my monolights are normally cranked down pretty low)... I'm actually pleased that there may be an advantageous color shift. It's a matter of style. I feel I probably not alone on this.
Some other shooters may be concerned if they like cooler tones... Boutin comes to mind.
: "All strobe units (maybe except high end
: packs) lower in color temp as they are
: decreased from FULL power down to MINIMUM.
: This,at a rate of 120*K/stop.": For pack user in the forum and shooting with
: digital, do you find this is true even when
: you use custom WB setting, such as setting
: color temp. correctly to match with your
: flash head?: After looking some of my photos shot from same
: session, same softliter 2, same custom
: WB/color temp WITH different power output, I
: do see some color shift between images.: So I would like to know what is your thought on
: this.
