I'm not sure exactly what that means, but it soesn't sound flattering...
I'll try to address the questions you raise.
"Graphic images of a sexual or violent nature" - I tried several different ways of wording this statement, even leaving it out all together. In short, there is a line out there somewhere, though I'm not sure exactly where. It is my hope and expectation that participants will push the edge, even cross that line. My thoughts is that it is easier to begin with a conservative definition and move forward, than to reign in an "anything goes" board that goes out of control.
I'm fumbling with words, I know. But we have to start somewhere. Feel free to offer an opinion or suggestion about rules, content, or direction of this forum. This forum is very much for people like yourself. I urge you to not simply sit back and watch, but take a lead, help to shape it with your work and your vision.
Finally, it was Michael who suggested the inclusion of fetish at this forum. It's not something I would have thought of. But to be honest, I hope that fetish does not dominate the content. There is allot of art out there that is both edgy and erotic, and that is what I hope to see. Fetish is one of those terms that's hard to define, and I'm sure much of what I see (or term) erotic, others would call fetish.
I hope this helps your understanding. But more, I hope you'll dive in with contributions that stir the senses, challenge the mind, and encourage those who strive for artistic expressions that don't have a label or fit in a box.
One last point. From my point of view, and I believe Michael and Henry agree, cheese spoils, and has no place here. The trick may be in determining what constitutes cheese, or just a bad attempt at art...
