The elusive line in the sand

I hope that the early participants here will be patient while things shake out. There is a line somewhere that is difficult to define. No doubt there will be something you or someone else posts that crosses that line, and it will be deleted. That will be part of the defining process. My hope is that you and the others will take that as a standard by which to post future work.

Personally, I no longer rate or judge photos by the stiffness factor. Like really great sex, the true measure of an image's impact on me is whether or not the feeling reaches deeper. If I feel a tightness in my chest, a gnawing in my stomach, then it's great.

Seems to me one should be able to look at an image's value as something more than it's ability to make one hot. While that may be the initial reaction, I would hope there is a bit more depth to the equation.

Of course, this is simply my opinion.
